Today, Mali was struck by a series of cowardly and barbaric attacks on multiple military installations, specifically in Niono, Molodo, Sandaré, Kayes, Nioro, Diboli, and Gogui, according to the statement from the General Staff of the Armed Forces. These coordinated actions, claimed by terrorists, are meant to sow terror and undermine our efforts for peace and stability.
On behalf of the Front Patriotique de Résistance, we vehemently condemn these vile and barbaric acts. It is unacceptable that soldiers—both men and women in uniform—should be assaulted in this manner, while they courageously defend our country’s integrity and the security of our people every single day.
I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the soldiers who fell defending the homeland, and I wish a speedy recovery to those wounded.
I reaffirm my unconditional support for the Malian Armed Forces (FAMA). The bravery shown by our FAMA deserves not only respect, but also the full support of the entire nation.
In these dark hours for our nation, the Front Patriotique de Résistance stands beside the Malian people and the Malian Armed Forces, and calls insistently for a ceasefire by all parties and the immediate start of inclusive negotiations to reconcile all Malians.
Mali will not bend to terror. Our message is clear: total support for FAMA, solidarity with the victims, and absolute determination to restore security, peace, and a return to constitutional order.
The junta has once again demonstrated its inability to govern the country, secure our cities and citizens, and provide reliable information to our Armed Forces to defend better against such cowardly and barbaric attacks.
